Finally!!!! I have finally visited this awesome bar! I've been wanting to go ever since it opened a couple of years ago. My good co-worker friend took me here to celebrate my success in getting my teaching credential and obtaining a teaching job. I was super excited to be celebrating in this place!
The Library Bar was small and dark. On the right side there was the bar booth decorated with various alcohol bottles. To the left side was this incredible library (pictured above). The beauty of it stole my breath. I sat on one of the cushions in the library and just stared at the shelves the whole entire time I was there (Yes, the books were real).
The drinks menu was very cute too. Most of the drinks were named after book titles or authors. My friend ordered a Hemingway Daiquiri while I got the Tequila Mockingbird. It was delicious!
Of course, I had to pose with my drink reading an Anne Rice book from the shelves with the bust of Shakespeare in the background. :)
The Library Bar can be a little pricey but it was a perfect spot to just sit down and enjoy a drink. I do recommend to get there early because it got packed about an hour after opening. By being early, I was able to enjoy some quite reading time, be able to talk to my friend without yelling, and have the opportunity to sit in the library area while sipping a happy drink. I had a fabulous time!
If you are ever in the Los Angeles area, make sure to stop by the Library Bar and have a Tequila Mockingbird.
